Repair & Resurfacing
Save money and time with Repair and Recap. No permits needed and the project can be done swiftly in one day!
First process, pressure washing the concrete with a degreaser to the entire area to clean away any: dirt, algae, rust, and/ or grime for a clean surface. Once completed, we will open all the cracks and grind down all spalling areas. After, we will remove all free debris and patch up all areas with a highly protective bonding agent (material) that will level out majority of the flat concrete to be pitched correctly. Finally,
a resurfacing coat of (1/10” - 1”) will be applied to the entire area of the project with a brush finish.
Epoxy Steps
Epoxy protective coatings offer three critical advantages: exceptional durability, reliable slip resistance, and customizable aesthetic appeal. Unlike bare concrete that becomes slick when wet, epoxy forms a resilient barrier resistant to abrasion, chemicals, and freeze-thaw cycling. Additives like silica or polymer grit can be mixed in to create textured surfaces that reduce slip hazards—a crucial benefit during Chicago’s wet springs and icy winters.
New Cement Steps
New cement will consist a minimum of twelve - twenty inches of compacted base gravel underneath eight - twenty inches new cement. The concrete mixture will have 4,500 psi, six bag mixture with rebars anchored to the pre - existing concrete foundation to prevent future movement and reinforcements. Wire - mesh will be intertwined within the concrete for additional strength with a vapor layer (flashing) for water proofing purposes. If needed a footing or pier for structural integrity.
